Carolyn Denise (Kirby) Ray

Carolyn Kirby Ray age 50, left to be in the arms of our Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016.  She was born Friday, September 30, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Kay Frances Kirby and Luther Ross, Sr.

Carolyn Kirby Ray accepted Christ at an early age.  And was a member of Divine Holiness Church.  She was such an outgoing, positive person, she lit up a room with her presence.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  Her smile and laughter will be remembered and missed dearly.

Carolyn Kirby Ray leaves to cherish her memory; is her daughters, Jamie Kirby (Danny Webster), Shadoris Kirby and Stephfany Taylor of Caruthersville, MO; her sisters, Rachelle (Ricky) Wade, Aretha Ross, Anjanette Coleman, LaKecia Leonard, Sharita (Jamie) Ross; her brothers, Luther (Loretta) Robinson, Joseph (Connie) Bowens, Luther (Latarshi) Hunter, and Corey Lawrence; grandaughters, Kamya Battles, Zisha, Saniya, Amira McIntyre, Kylion Taylor, Ahmir McIntyre, and Carl Carter; aunts, Wendy Kaye, Connie Smith, Catherine (Albert) Cobb, and Mayella Cagle; uncle, George Johnson, Jr.; godchildren, Shakeriah Morgan, and Cureen Grady; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; dearest friends, Stephanie White, Tonya Harris, Evelyn Stewart, Cheryl Morgan, Precita Robinson, Linda Shavis, RaShava Morse, Brenda Lloyd, Joyce Townsend, Erica Grady, and Sheryl Crowley.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Minnie Kirby, George and Laura Mae Johnson, her sons, Johnny J. Kirby and Xavier S. Taylor; brother, Anthony Churchwell; aunt, Sarah Kirby Jennings; uncles, Larry and James Kirby.  Carolyn will be missed and loved dearly by her family and friends.
