Linda Patricia Vincent, the daughter of the late Samuel James Vincent and May Emma Gilmore Vincent was born June 18, 1948 in Birmingham,    Alabama.  She made her transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home November 23, 2017 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.

She confessed a hope in Christ at  Cedar Street M.B. Church, Hayti,      Missouri .  Moving back home from Flint, Michigan, she became a member of Saint James Holiness Church which late became Saint James Word of Faith Church in Hayti where she served for many years as church secretary, an usher, choir member, church educator, Sunday School Teacher and      children’s church teacher.  She was faithful to every activity of the church, serving in spite of he illness until her death.  She was one of the prayer  warriors faithfully getting up early in the morning to pray for others in spite of her own challenges.

She was an educator and served as a teacher in Osceola School  System for over 30 years.  She was always interested in children and coached basketball for Special Olympics, Osceola Community Choir, and various extracurricular activities while employed by that school district.  She also worked in Social Services with DAEOC and Tri-County Human Development Community Services  Organizations.

She was one of the persons who helped pioneer the Word of Faith Ministry led by then Evangelist/Teacher Johnny Hood along with his wife, Gladys.  The three of them promoted and preached the Faith Message for many years as a singing group that went from a kitchen table Bible Study to what Saint James Word Outreach Ministries is today.

Survivors include her sister, Dawn Denise Vincent of Hayti, Missouri,   uncle M.J. Vincent, aunt Billie Vincent and a host of cousins.  Her church family became her family support over the years.  Minister Shonda Harris was a very close friend and care taker until her death.

Saint James Word of Faith’s loss is certainly heaven’s gain in the home-going of this dear sister.
