Saddie Ann Rodgers was born July 12, 1953 to the late Nannie Agnew Rodgers and James Edward Rodgers in Blytheville, Arkansas on Number 9 where they lived during her early years.
The family later moved to Caruthersville, Missouri , where she attended McCarty School and Caruthersville, High School.. She was baptized in 2016 under the leadership of Dr. Danny Coleman.
She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She enjoyed planting flowers, sitting on the porch talking on the telephone and she loved to dance. She played softball with Turner Lee and chopped cotton with her brother James Freddie Rodgers.
She was preceded in death by her father, and mother , Danny Leroy Johnson, Sr., her son, Danny Leroy Johnson, Jr., siblings, Ricky Rodgers, Danny Rodgers, Ida Rodgers, Geneva Portwood and James Freddie Rodgers.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five daughters, Karen Rodgers, Jackie Rodgers, Gloria (Charles) Golliday, Lafaye Rodgers and Lisa Rodgers all of Caruthersville, MO, four siblings, Mary Lee Jenkins, Juanita Rodgers, Tee Willis (Barbara) Rodgers and Nannette Bailey all of Caruthersville, MO, twenty-two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Three very close nieces she called The Golden Girls, Sharon Rodgers, Joyce Rodgers and Debra Rodgers. Her two best friends, Ella Claire Carter and Bea Springer.
