Clyde Edmond Jones

     Clyde E. Jones was born on September 27, 1955 to the union of the late Buster and Leora Jones in Caruthersville, MO.  He departed this life on July 6, 2016 at his home in Caruthersville, MO.

       Clyde’s education was received in the Caruthersville High School System.  He worked several jobs in this area: McCoy’s Junk Yard, Cooperman’s Furniture Company, MO Compress, Gaither’s Furniture, and the Shipyard.

       Clyde performed with childhood friends in a band, which consisted of the following: Curtis Wright, Carl Lee Williams (Titoo), and Sammy McClorn.  They performed around the area.  He liked to ride, drive, and play basketball, which was his sport.

       Clyde leaves to cherish his memory: a long time friend and the love of his life, Armer Rodgers of 22 years; two daughters, Vanita and Lisa Carter of Caruthersville, MO; five sons, Claude Parnell of Springfield, MO, Clyde Parnell of Poplar Bluff, MO, Joseph, Justin, and Michael Rodgers of Caruthersville, MO; one sister, Barbara Boyd of Chicago, IL; one step daughter, Karlonda Rodgers; eleven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
