Donald Ray Mathis

Donald Ray Mathis was born July 3, 1946 in Humboldt, Tennessee to the union of the late Archa and Sarah Mathis.  He departed this life June 19, 2015 in Caruthersville, Missouri.

He grew up and received his education in Humboldt, Tennessee.  Later , he moved to Caruthersville.  He loved tractors and farming.  He worked as a farmhand most of his working life.

He was a fun, loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Lula Mae Mathis, one    daughter, Zelda Kay (Bobby) Reed and one son, Michael (Frances)     Williams both of Union City, TN, two step-sons, Peter Springer and Samuel Jackson and one step-daughter, Joyce Springer all of      Caruthersville, MO, six sisters, Verner Banks of Rosedale, NY, Frances Quinones of Brooklyn, NY, Earnestean Johnson of Queens, NY, Cathy Mathis of Humboldt, TN, Ida Mathis of Texarkana, TX and Rose Mathis of Humboldt, TN, six brothers, Robert Mathis of Smoals, SC,  Archa Mathis, Jr. of Humboldt, TN, Steve Mathis of Humboldt, TN, Kim Mathis of Humboldt, TN, Jerry Mathis of Humboldt, TN and Roy Mathis of Phoenix, AZ, two grandchildren, a step-mother, Laura Mathis of Humboldt, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.
