Dorothy Ann Anderson was born February 12, 1953 in Tchula, MS to Peter and Ruby Wade.
Dorothy and her family relocated from Tchula, MS to Caruthersville, MO in 1956 where she attended Caruthersville High School.
At the age of 31, Dorothy confessed a belief in Christ on July 1, 1984. She was a member of Pentecostal Power Deliverance Temple under the leadership of Bishop James Lane, Sr. Dorothy was an active member of the church, serving as an usher and choir member. On May 22, 1972, Dorothy married Larry Wayne Anderson. Born to this union were two sons, Galvin Carmean Alexander Anderson and DeVonte Akie Anderson.
Dorothy developed a passion for children, which inspired her to pursue a career in child care services. Many were touched by Dorothy's solicitude and guidance. This included the adoption of Toni Wynne, Leighann Wynne, Pamela Wynne, Toney Wynne, Cullins Wynne, Veronica Wynne, and Charity Wynne.
If you knew Dorothy, you would know that her hands were always busy. Whether working as a seamstress or keeping busy with gardening, she found time to enjoy simple pleasures. A hard worker, Dorothy devoted over 30 years of service to Brown Shoe Company. She, also, allocated her time to dietary services in a nursing home facility for six years, private duty care, and home health care services. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Ruby Wade; two sisters, Mary and Zaliar Wade; one brother, Willie Wade; and one niece, Della Wade.
