Edgar Ferdinand Guyton

Edgar F. Guyton, was born September 7, 1952 to Joe and Sally Guyton in Hayti, Missouri. He departed this life on July 4, 2014.

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

Edgar was a graduate of Delta C-7 in Deering, Missouri. He was employed at Trinity Marine in Caruthersville, Missouri until his health failed. On June 23, 2007 he was united in marriage to Emma Tiner in Steele, Missouri.

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Joe Guyton, Jr. and his brother, Hozell Guyton.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Sally Mae Guyton; six children, Dewayne (Bria) Parker and Jason Guyton of Kennett, Missouri; Amy (Ken) Hayes of Ripley, Tennessee; Keith (Charlene) Guyton of Steele, Missouri; Barry (Kanani) Guyton of Overton Park, Kansas; and Andrew Guyton of Blytheville, Arkansas; his wife, Emma Guyton; five brothers, Sammie L. (Adora) Clinton of Aurora, Illinois; Joe E. Guyton of Bragg City, Missouri; Carey J. Guyton and Douglas W. (Carolyn) Guyton both of Hayti, Missouri; and Alvin Guyton of Bragg City, Missouri; two sisters, Beverly S. (Terry) Mead of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Sharon (Rickie) Agnew of Bragg City, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Rosie Guyton of Hayti, Missouri; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
