Fannie Mae (Bridgeford) Flowers

Fannie Mae Bridgeford was born to Richard and Laura Bridgeford on July 7, 1917 in Pickens, Mississippi where she was raised by her uncle and auntie.  She attended school up to the 8th grade.

      The family moved to Pascola, Missouri, where she met and married her King, William Flowers on February 9, 1934.  They later moved to Hayti where sixteen children and two adopted children were loved.

     Upon moving, she joined Mount Olive Baptist Church.  She was saved and baptized at an early age.  She retired from Pemiscot Memorial Hospital after 34 years in the X-Ray        Department.  She was known as Queen Fannie by family and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her King, William, seven sons, Baby Boy, Clavon, Melvin, Benny, Alvin, Johnny and Calvin; two daughters, Joyce and Constance; four brothers, one sister, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

     She leaves the rest of memories to Katherine Ford, Gail Crawford, Wanda Flowers and Donald Flowers of Hayti,   Missouri; Linda Wade of New Albany, Mississippi; Sharon Sanford and Allen Flowers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Garvin Flowers of Las Vegas, Nevada; Gloria Hayslet of Compton,  California; God sister, Dorothy Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri; over seventy-three grandchildren, over one hundred great grandchildren, over twenty-five great-great grandchildren and more; countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
