Frederick Grant Hursey, son of Teresa Yvonne Hursey and Bernard Brown was born December 17, 1971 in Hayti, MO. He departed this life March 7, 2014 at Twin Rivers Medical Center, Kennett, MO.
He accepted Christ at an early age with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Emmanuel Lofton. He graduated North Pemiscot High School in May 1990. Upon graduation he attended Lynn School of Technology as well as Three Rivers Community College. He worked a number of jobs, including Plastene, Tyson Foods and Pizza Hut. He was a caring and loving person, always willing to help anyone he encountered. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, car fanatic, and enjoyed cooking and reading. He loved children and babies. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Brown; cousin, Ricardo Robinson; nephew, Kwame Hursey; grandparents, J.B. and Mary Lee Brown; aunt, Diane Brown Ruff and uncle, Willie L. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Teresa Yvonne Hursey and grandmother that raised him, Lee Dora Hursey both of Homestown, MO; six sisters, Elizada Brown, Chaquetta (Daniel) Brown-Phillips, Natasha Brown all of Milwaukee, WI; Monica (Nate)Burton of Springfield, IL; Aisha (Earl) Patton Young of Parma, MO; and Kimberly Stokes of New Madrid, MO; two brothers, Damion Bernard of Iowa and Anthony (Patricia) Hursey of Montclair, NJ; special friends, Elvy McGaughy, Korey Colloins, John Montgomery and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
