Ida Mae (Vance) Wilson

Ida Mae Wilson was born on November 7, 1929 to Leroy Vance and Lela Mae Smith-Vance in Hayti, Missouri.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Hayti, Missouri.  She worked many years as a caregiver.

A faithful life ended Friday, February 5, 2016 when Ida Mae Wilson was called home. Her father, Leroy Vance, and mother Lela Mae Smith-Vance, daughter Juanita Hudson, sons James Strong Jr., Ivory Strong, brothers L.C. Vance, Clint Vance and granddaughter Tina Hudson preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Joseph Strong of Hayti, Missouri and Leroy Strong of Hammond, Indiana. She is also survived by her siblings, Willie Mae Vance-Armstrong and Teroy Vance of Hayti, Mo.; grandchildren Steven (Ronnella) Hudson of Indianopolis, Indiana, Joseph Reed and Lamont Carter of Chicago, Illinois,  Kavin Ollie of Hayti, Missouri,  Tammy Hopkins of Oklahoma, Delwinn Cartwright of Houston, TX., Tyrone Bethel (Felisha) of Indianapolis, Indiana.  She is survived by great-children, nieces, nephews, host of extended family members who she loved dearly.
