JM Hayes

JM Hayes was born June 19, 1928 to the late Moses and Louisa Hayes.  He departed this life on February 6, 2021 at 12:51 pm at St. Clare Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Alberta Hayes, second wife Mary Peoples-Hayes; sons GT Hayes, Sr., Johnny Mac Hayes, Sr., Roosevelt Hayes; step daughter Lois Peoples; brothers Moses Hayes, Jr., WL Hayes; sisters, Julie Hayes Price, Ruby Hayes Wade, Luvenia Hayes Larry and Lillie B. Hayes Lewis.

He confessed his faith in Christ early in life and stood strong to that faith to the very end.  His life speaks for itself.  To know JM Hayes was to know love!

He leaves to cherish his memories: a sister, Nettie M. Hayes McBride of Caruthersville, MO; two brothers, Malcolm (Bobbie) Hayes of Caruthersville, MO and Tyrone (Trenea) Hayes of Sikeston, MO; a special nephew Quitman McBride, Jr.; two daughter-in-laws, Glendy V. Hayes of Holly Hill, SCand Angela Hayes of Bellville, IL; step children, Yvonne Jointer, Vivian (Zack) Henderson and Andrew Peoples; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 12 great-great children as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
