Jay Travis Spicer, Jr., 60 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away November 9, 2018. Jay was born August 9, 1958 to Pastor Jay T. Spicer, Sr. and Lenora (Wallace) Spicer of Caruthersville, Missouri.
Jay (Chubby) had an infectious laugh and was known for leading the song "Operator" in the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Mixed Chorus where he acknowledged and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age under the leadership of Pastor H. L. Taylor.
He enjoyed sports and creating music CDs for friends and family. After graduation he relocated to Kansas City.
Jay leaves to cherish his memory : two children, Mindy Andreas of Idaho, and Jeff Copeland of Kansas City, Missouri, his parents, Jay T. and Lenora Spicer, one sister, Jennett (Vasser) Caldwell of Peoria, Illinois, and three brothers, Danny (Ladetra) Spicer of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Kenton (Andrea) Spicer of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Brad (Shari) Spicer of Indianapolis, Indiana, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Kenneth Spicer.
