Jerry Lee Toliver, also known as JT was born August 17, 1953 in Crawfordsville, Arkansas to Estella Reed Brown and Corneleus Toliver. He departed this life on March 24, 2020 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jerry accepted Christ at an early age.
He attended and graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1971. While attending high school he met one of the loves of his life, Ann Wheeler Clark. Within this relationship a son, Demetrius "Mechie" was born.
In 1971, Jerry joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado. Years, later he met the beautiful Patricia Ross Morris. To this union a daughter, Iesha was born. Jerry was quite the scholar and athlete. He attended Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) where he majored in Physical Education and was a Long Jumper on the Track Team.
Throughout life, Jerry was very adventurous and creative. As a veteran, he was an advocate of Veteran's Issues. He was very politically active with the campaign and Presidency of Barack Obama and as recent as 2020 was very involved with Racial Equality Issues with The National Action Network. Jerry had a full life and really loved his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Reed Brown, siblings, Nicole, Rommie, Herman, Fred and Donnie. He is survived by his son, Demetrius and daughter, Iesha (willie); five grandchildren, Demetrius, Jr.,Demotto, Demadre, Jaquan and Morgan; three great grandchildren, Aliyah, Anlya and Aleya; four siblings, Minnie (Waverly), Linda, Rick (Annie) and Deborah (Derrick); two sisters-in-law, Rachel and Brenda, one aunt, Linda Kaye and a host of family and friends.
