On Friday 21, 2020 Joyce Ann Rodgers passed away in Cape Girardeau, MO. at Southeast Hospital at the age of 54.
Joyce Ann Rodgers was born August 28, 1965 in Hayti, MO. to Juanita Rodgers and Wallace Bobo Jr. She graduated from Caruthersville High School in Caruthersville, Missouri in 1982, where she was active in band, and Flag Corp while in high school and began college at Southeast University in Cape Girardeau where she pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Sweet Heart this is where she got the name “GLOSSY”.
She united with Pentecostal Power New Life under leadership of Bishop James Lane Sr. in 1993, was a faithful member the short time she was there. Joyce Ann Rodgers loved decorating she opened her own business doing interior decorating, weddings, flower arrangement, and etc. She loved music and was a loving and caring daughter, sister, and friend, but the greatest pleasure was spending quality time with her family and love ones. Her favorite word to her little sisters was “I got this.”
Joyce left this earth far too early for us to understand, but God always has a purpose and a plan; therefore, we must have faith. Joyce was preceded in death by her father Wallace Bobo Jr. and brother Samuel McFerren (Lil. BoBo).
She leaves to cherish her memory: mother Juanita Rodgers, sisters Donna Kay Rodgers, Tonya Rodgers, Debra (Jimmy) Freeman, Cheryl Russey, Lorrie Greer, and Donna Brann: brothers; Keith Rodgers, Chris Fields, Gilbert Lyde, Kevin (Ingrid) Watkins, Craig Robinson, and Tyron (Thelma) Robinson. Special stepmother Dessie Bobo and a special sister-in-law Jossie Scott and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
