Otis Shepherd

Otis Shepherd was born May 28, 1957 to Henry and Jessie Shepherd at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL.

He confessed a belief in Christ at the age of 15 at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Chicago, IL.

He never wanted to be anybody other than himself. He was a jack of all trades. He did not trade love, he built his life on it; especially the love of people. Otis truly loved his family and friends.

One sister, Miriam Shepherd preceded him in death. The flight began in Chi-Town, IL and in 1976, he continued his flight in Caruthersville, MO.  Later, he continued his flight in Columbia, MO where he lived for more than 10 years. The flight ended in Columbia, MO on May 3, 2014.

What a flight he took and leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Jessie Pittman Shepherd; father, Henry Shepherd; children, Sherita Robinson Shepherd, Kenyatta Robinson Shepherd, Otis Robinson Shepherd, Michael Robinson Shepherd and Jessica Robinson Shepherd; brothers, Douglas (Dejuah), Stephen (Edna), Herman, Darryl and Dana (Suzanne); sisters, Kay (Danny), Denise (Melvin), Yvette (Nicky), Carrie (Mel); two honored nephews, Lorenzo "Ray" Dee-Dee and Terrance "Rel"; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and two honored friends, Billy Brim and Paul Isom both of Chicago, IL.
