Ricky Gene Ford

April 17, 1959 ~ July 28, 2014 (age 55) 55 Years Old

Ricky Gene Ford was born April 17, 1959 in Hayti, Missouri to the late Joshua Ford, Jr. and Velma Ford. He departed this life on July 28, 2014 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

During his fifty-five years, he confessed a hope in Christ at Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church. He recently became a member of Apostolic Faith in Dyersburg, Tennessee under the leadership of Bishop Richard E. Bailey.

Ricky worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for over fifteen years at Hayti Heights Housing Authority. He touched the lives of everyone he came across with his unlimited love and generosity.

He missed his calling in the daycare business because he possessed a great love for children. He was the best father and brother anyone could ask for and an even greater Paw Paw. He took pride in making sure his grandchildren got whatever they wanted and he thought they needed. Ricky was a man of many names such as "Mo Fo Low", "Chilly", "Tricky Rick", "Cupcake", and "Dancing Machine".

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Ford.

He leaves to mourn: three sons, Rickey Leaner Jackson of Springfield, MO; Derik (Kionna) Jackson of St. Louis, MO; and Quentin (Calisa) Jackson of Dyersburg, TN; two daughters: Windy Thomas and Alyscia Jackson both of Dyersburg, TN; seven granddaughters: Brielle, Emiya, Mariyah, Jamiyah, Aniyah, Carmen, and Quentiniyah; four grandsons: Travion, Aleick, Eric, and Quentin Jr.; two brothers: Jarvis Bo Ford and Reginald (Teneka) Ford both of Hayti, MO; one sister, Diane Metcalf of Atlanta, GA; two uncles: Michael (Roberta) Ford of Hayti, MO and Joe (Gwen) Ford of Indio, CA; two aunts: Dorothy Mack of Kansas City, MO and Mazel Ford of St. Louis, MO; a lifetime friend, Ethel Ford-Kimble of Dyersburg, TN and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
