In the year of our Lord, September 29, 1932 to the union of E. B. Yancy and Hazel Anderson was born a baby boy, Rufus Yancy. Brother Yancy graduated from Central High School in Hayti, MO. Somewhere in this life he came to know the Lord. Rufus is a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He is, also, a veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for many years with Ark-Mo Power Company in Caruthersville, MO. Later years he did plumbing and electrical work until his health failed him.
Rufus was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Moss Yancy; his parents, Hazel McKenney and E. B. Yancy; and a sister, Beatrice Burrel.
He leaves to cherish his memory an aunt, Dorothy Wade; family members and friends.
Prayer
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
