Sammie Curtis McClorn

Mr. Sammie McClorn was born in West Helena, AR on February 20, 1953.

He attended Caruthersville High School in Caruthersville, MO. He worked as a construction worker for his own company for many years.

Sammie accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Benson.

Sammie had three biological children and three step-children.  He had a passion for playing his trumpet.  Sammie was a good cook.

On Saturday, April 26, 2015, Sammie made his transition from days of sunshine and rain to a God that reigns and a Son that shines.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Earlene McClorn of Caruthersville, MO; two sons, Adrian Welton of Marion, IL and Shanta Welton of Kennett, MO; three step-children: Shaundel Caldwell of Ridgeley, TN, Laquinta Thomas and Tequila (Romaine) Junior of Dyersburg, TN; seven grandchildren: James Earl Hollywood III, Kentric Mondrell Hudson, Charles Ray Cummings, Jr., Shanta Welton, Christopher Welton, Micah Welton, and Ashunti Welton; two great-grandchildren, Carmen Grace Hollywood and Autumn Elizabeth Hollywood; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
