Life’s Journey
Sayle Covington was born July 12, 1940 to the late Sell and Arverdia Covington in Horn Lake, Mississippi. He departed this life March 15, 2026.
Sayle accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age, He united in marriage to Willeen Covington. Sayle was the kind of man whom never met a stranger. To many, he was Uncle Rabbit. To some he was a brother or a friend. He had a way of gathering people around and sharing his love for them.
He loved fiercely and gave advice whether you asked for it or not. He was unapologetic about giving his advice. He loved fishing, working on the farm, and enjoying his family. Though he left this world, his legacy remains.
Sayle was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Sell and Arverdia Covington; his Wife, Willeen Covington; three Sons: Quentin Chandler, Michael Covington, and Sayle Covington III; a Daughter, Brenda Rayford; three Sisters and three Brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his Daughter, Jennifer Covington of Belleville, IL; two Sisters, Lettie (Cleatus) Rhoden and Annie Massadi of Sikeston, MO; two brothers, Lee Covington of Sikeston, MO and Jerry Covington of Hayti, MO; and special Nephew, Telly Jones.
