Stella Louise Stevenson was born on January 3, 1932 to the union of Louis Curry and Estella Glenn in Hope, AR. She was raised by her Aunt Abby Glenn. She departed this life on November 4, 2015 in Hayti, MO. We lovingly called her Sister Louise.
She was preceded in death by her parents,; along with a sister, Wanda Lee Curry; four uncles and one aunt.
In 1979, she was baptized in Jesus Name under the leadership of Bishop James Lane at Pentecostal Power Church here in Caruthersville. Mother Louise was one of the oldest mother’s in the church. She served on the Mother’s Board under the leadership of Mother Willie Mae Taylor, Senior Choir under the leadership of Sister Laverne Jordan. She was a faithful member.
She worked in domestic work and was a cook at The Daeoc Headstart in Caruthersville, MO. Cooking was one of her pastime and she enjoyed gathering with her church family. Her favorite song was Just a Closer Walk with Thee and she stated “When I’m gone on I want the saints to just have church”.
She leaves to cherish his memory: one adopted granddaughter, Ebony Lee; and a host of cousins , friends. and her church family. Special , Special friend Missionary Mother Bessie Lee.
