Waverly "Wayne" Aldridge

Waverly “Wayne” Aldridge was born on October 21, 1942 to the late Richard and Ethel Aldridge in Memphis, TN.  He departed this life on October 5, 2015 in Caruthersville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ethel Aldridge; along with two sisters, Geraldine and Pearline;  five brothers: Richard, Nathan, Walter Lee, Sam, and Raymond.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Waverly Aldridge, Jr, Waverly Aldridge, Jr, and Julian Johnson all of Memphis, TN; three sisters, Mabel (Frank) Johnson, Ethel (Eugene) Wilson  Bae, and Nicola Ann Aldridge all of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Sammy Aldridge of St. Louis, MO and Chester (Juliet) Aldridge of Memphis, TN; and one uncle, Johnny (Mary) Edwards of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
