Zellaner Kuykendoll McCullough

January 14, 1922 ~ February 11, 2015 (age 93) 93 Years Old


Zellaner L. Kuykendoll McCullough was born on January 14, 1922 in Cypell, AR to the late Charlie and Beatrice Smith.  She departed this life at 10:00A. M. on February 11, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her daughters. 

      Zellaner was raised in Cypell, AR and moved to Steele, MO where she married James Kuykendoll.  God blessed them to be  together for 40 years and they were the proud parents of 11 children.

     In the early 70’s, she married the Reverend P. M. McCullough.  Zellaner accepted Christ at an early age.  She was a member of Mount Zion M. B. Church in Hayti, MO for 15 years.  She served the church faithfully in the following capacities: Mother Board, Choir Member, and Church Secretary.  In 1970, she moved  and united with the New Bethel M. B. Church in Blytheville, AR.  Zellaner served faithfully as a Choir Member, on the Mother Board, and as a Pastor Aide.

      Zellaner was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Beatrice Smith; her loving husbands, James Kuykendoll and Reverend P. M. McCullough; her son, Charles Kuykendoll; three brothers: Jessie “Babe” Smith, Charlie “Buddy” Smith, and Blair “Fat” Smith; and one sister, Della Mae Smith..

      She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Perry (Patricia) Kuykendoll of Elkhart, IN, Edith (Joe) Mack of South Holland, IL, Ruby Johnson of Blytheville, AR, Henry Kuykendoll of Hayti, MO, Marva (Charles) Martin of Florissant, MO, Verdia (Bridgett) Kuykendoll of Hayti, MO, Wendy (Pastor Robert) Dennis of Blytheville, AR, Wayne Kuykendoll of Caruthersville, MO, Beatrice Kuykendoll of Denver, CO, and Amos (Joann) Kuykendoll of Dolton, IL; one brother, Melvin Webb of Hot Springs, AR; 30 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
